Eddie Association Members

Members

The EDDIE Association brings together a robust network of partners dedicated to accelerating the digital upskilling of the energy workforce. Through strategic actions, the association will:

– Advocate for policy changes supporting digital skills in the energy sector.
– Foster collaboration and knowledge exchange among key stakeholders.
– Support education and training programmes aligned with the sector’s digital needs.
– Manage and implement the Large-Scale Partnership for digital skills in energy.

Led by Universidad Pontificia Comillas (Spain), the EDDIE Association unites 11 partners from across Europe. This ambitious initiative gathers a wide range of stakeholders including universities, research centers, system operators, industrial leaders, innovation hubs, and training organizations. RWTH Aachen University  
One of Europe’s top technical universities, RWTH Aachen stands out for its strong research culture and industry collaborations. Its work in energy systems, engineering, and digital technologies positions it as a key player in advancing innovation across the continent. 

National Technical University of Athens  
NTUA brings a long-standing tradition of excellence in engineering and applied sciences. Known for its role in EU research, the university is deeply engaged in projects involving renewable energy, smart infrastructures, and digital transformation. 

Politecnico di Milano  
Recognized as one of Europe’s most prestigious technical universities, Politecnico di Milano brings world-class knowledge in engineering, design, and sustainable innovation. It plays a key role in research and education initiatives focused on energy and digital transformation.  

Universidad Pontificia Comillas 
Based in Madrid, Comillas University — and particularly its ICAI School of Engineering — is known for combining technical expertise with ethical and social dimensions. It brings a strong academic voice to projects related to energy, technology, and systems thinking. 

Escuelas Profesionales Padre Piquer  
Padre Piquer is a standout vocational school with a deep commitment to social equity and educational innovation. Its model of inclusive, project-based learning makes it a valuable partner in initiatives promoting social impact and digital education. 

Novel Group  
Novel Group is a Luxembourg-based SME specializing in the development of digital learning tools and innovative educational content. With a strong track record in EU-funded projects, the company brings expertise in instructional design, technology development, and user engagement. 

EPL Technology Frontiers  
Company focused on developing smart, sustainable technology solutions. Active in areas like energy efficiency and environmental innovation, it offers a mix of technical know-how and practical implementation skills in European projects. 

EIT InnoEnergy  
European innovation engine accelerating sustainable energy solutions. Based in the Netherlands, it supports startups, education, and innovation across the energy sector, helping bring cutting-edge ideas to market and scale. 

E.DSO   
E.DSO represents Europe’s leading electricity distribution system operators. The association plays an influential role in shaping EU energy policy, with a strong focus on digitalization, innovation, and the deployment of smart grid technologies. 

Pierstone 
Pierstone is an international law firm focused on the digital economy. From its Brussels office, it provides expert legal services in data protection, technology law, telecom regulation, and IP, supporting both startups and global tech companies.

Secretariat

Zabala Innovation 
European consultancy specializing in R&D&I strategy and public funding. With 13 offices across five countries, it supports organizations in designing and managing innovation projects, especially within EU and national programmes.  

Upcoming meeting for the LSP on Digitalisation of the Energy System!

We invite you to a meeting on 22 May 2025, from 14:30 to 16:30 CET, focusing on the role of digitalisation in accelerating the energy transition.

The event will bring together experts, professionals, and stakeholders from across the energy field to discuss how digital tools are shaping a more efficient, sustainable, and skilled energy landscape.

The agenda includes contributions from the European Commission, insights based on ENLIT’s recent industry reports, and reflections from leading utility organisations on how to address the sector’s growing skills gap.
